Fugro's Starfix.L1 system utilises single frequency code correction data from the Fugro network of reference stations, delivered via both Inmarsat and SpotBeam satellites. These corrections, combined with a single frequency GPS receiver are used to produce a position of high accuracy.
This system can provide a positional accuracy of better than 1.5 m (95%) horizontally at a distance of 500 km from the closest reference station.
The minimum recommended equipment for Starfix.L1 is:
• Single Frequency GPS Receiver and antenna
• Fugro Corrections Demodulator connected to Inmarsat or Spot Satellite
• PC with Fugro MultiFix5 Network Position Computation and Quality Control Software
Or:
• Single Frequency GPS Receiver and antenna
• Fugro Survey Corrections Demodulator connected to Inmarsat or Spot Satellite
• PC with Fugro Starfix.MRDGPS Network Position Computation and QC Software
