Fugro’s Starfix.HP system utilises dual frequency carrier phase correction data from Fugro's network of reference stations delivered via both Inmarsat and SpotBeam satellites. These corrections (combined with a dual frequency GPS receiver) are used to produce a position of extremely high accuracy. Further positional enhancements are undertaken in Fugro’s SPM5 software resulting in greater positional accuracy. At a distance of 1000 km from the nearest reference station, the accuracies are typically 10cm and 15cm (95%) in the horizontal and vertical planes respectively.
The minimum recommended equipment for Starfix.HP is:
• Fugro’s HP Mobile Unit, including Dual Frequency GPS Receiver, Antenna (with optional demodulators) and SPM5 software
• Fugro's Corrections Demodulator connected to Inmarsat or Spot Satellite (optionally included in the HP Mobile Unit)
Recommended additional software:
• Fugro’s HPQC software for High Performance Quality Control
